You have created the option to take the 2 stones, but you don't need to do it now because that white group is already strong so it's just a big endgame move now.
Aha! I understand! The fact that it does not influence life/death status of any groups makes the move of lower priority.

Re: Review Request 13K v. 13K
After showing a game (which is very similar to the one I attached in this post), the professional pointed to move mistakes, but I did not get any big (excuse the pun) picture assessment of what is wrong with my game. So in essence, the advice I got was to keep doing life and death and play more ...

Re: Opponent who fight every stone
Second, "similar positions" is a vague phrase. Look again at Uberdude's analysis. He started by identifying connected groups of stones. Then he counted their dame. Then he highlighted cutting points. You could have a "similar position" where Black had no cutting points, and then White might indeed ...

So just to add a bit to the discussion, here is the list of "non standard" properties the GoReviewPartner uses to record extra information:

Re: Question about real boards and time controls
Many of these rules vary region to region.
For instance in Taiwan there seems to be no clear limit when you can pause the clock to pick up a large number of stones, most people agree that 5-6 stones or more is enough.
Also using the same hand to play and press the clock does NOT apply here ...

hello, i have been living in Taiwan for about 2 years without knowing there are playing places near taipei. I really wanna go to such places on weekends. However, my Chinese is insufficient to communicate. I'm more than happy if someone can go with me. Is there anyone? Thank you.

Opponent who fight every stone
Hi everyone,
this is a game I lost against an opponent whose every move is an attachment (ok, not all but 72 of 80 stones).
What typically happens is that I spend all my time trying to read out variations, inevitably getting some of them wrong, and then making big mistakes when in byo-yomi.

Re: AaronB #3. 22 stone dragon. enough to win?
First, I am a few stones weaker than you so my comments are rather a "reverse" review. There are some moves where I feel you played differently than I would have - which means one of us might have something to learn (likely me).

The workaround is to click on review, and use the estimator in the review window.

Re: Tapani's journal
I have now played my first OTB tournament.
It has been some bit of trouble for me to join a real tournament, since many tournaments wants to place you in the right division for your rank (3k, 4k, ...) and since I had no rank, I could not sign up. ( Almost all tournaments have cash prizes and they ...
