#2 - A better client for Android tablets. Right now the tablet client is very much like the phone client, which is kind of stupid because ...

KGS sound issue when placing stones

When I try to place a stone, I very often need to press the mouse button about three times, before a stone is put on the board. The first clicks, where no stone is placed, I hear the 'ding'- sound for passing instead. I tried to reinstall, but didn't get rid of the problem. Any hints on what do do ...

Re: Pinning cgoban to the taskbar

Does everyone have a second kgs icon appearing on win 7, when launching the program - if it's already pinned?

Re: Dual Kgs icons on Win 7 taskbar

I still didn't manage to fix this. It is the same issue as this guy: http://superuser.com/questions/189312/h ... -windows-7

Anyone else had the problem? Anyone solved it?

Re: Dual Kgs icons on Win 7 taskbar

Probably because the link points to javaws.exe but KGS runs as javaw.exe

You're right, it points to javaws.exe. How do I change that?

I think that's the way java-webstart works. Java-webstart does check for updates and then starts the normal java on the downloaded cache files.

You could use ...

Dual Kgs icons on Win 7 taskbar

When running kgs, wich is pinned to my taskbar in Windows 7, a second instance of its icon pops up, just like this thread:

Not a big problem, but kinda annoying anyway.

Anybody know a way to fix this?

Here's what it looks like

Re: Useful books to become stronger

BUT WHERE IS KAGEYAMA ??????? It's also a book worth reading once when you're weak, and constantly reread

And this is my top book for everyone

I think people go to Kageyama thinking "lots of rave reviews, this'll teach me how to play Go!" and get disappointed. The book doesn't teach you how to ...
