Re: GoUniverse (New KGS client)
OK, ty for the info. So everyone using Go universe has been baned temporarily because of the ip problem... nice. Well, time to try Tygem for the first time xD. Btw, nice work with GoUniverse, it rocks.

Re: GoUniverse (New KGS client)
I'm trying to connect to KGS and it tells me than I've been banned for "trying to circumvent existing ban"... ¿is it for using Go Universe?

Wow, so sad you have had this terrible experience. I know nothing about Go teachers but I'm sure not all amateurs are this unprofessional. It's not a matter of being pro or amateur, is about being responsible or an cad. Good to know his name, I hope you find someone that really wants to teach Go.

Re: GoGameGuru experience, mixed up order twice, advice need
2 months since last communications??... that's way too much, pretty dissapointed. The only reason I wouldn't fix things with the bank inmediatly is the good image of GGG in this forum (so I assume it has to be a one in a million case) but even with that into account... I'd give them one week top to ...

Re: Help me with calculating/avoiding border taxes with Kuro
And do you know if they apply the % to the cost of the purchase or they add the shipping costs? My brother is getting married and they'd travel to Japan in their honeymoon, if he takes the set with him, would he still have to pay all the taxes and duties?

Help me with calculating/avoiding border taxes with Kuroki
Hi everyone, as a lot of you know I still want a nice Go set and don't have one atm. My birthday is coming and I have an important job interview next Tuesday which can rescue me from unemployment. In top of this, Kuroki is celebrating his centennial anniversary with some juicy discounts in the blue ...

Re: Difficult decision...
If I can ask, from where did you buy your shin-kaya board? I'm in Europe too and I wanted to get a nice but in the budget shin-kaya 6cm board.

Re: Help me identifying this go bowls
Mmm, ¿karin maybe? This are the only bowls I have so it's difficult to me to identify the wood, but ty for the resource! ¿Any idea about how big stones could fit in?

Help me identifying this go bowls
Hi everyone, as some of you seems quite good at this, let me share some photos of my bowls. I purchased them like 13 years ago, I think from a belgium site?, I think the web was in French and English. Maybe is cherrywood? I can't remember how much I paid for them... maybe aroun 70€ back in that days ...

Re: Difficult decision...
I've never bought in Kuroki's but I think you're just approaching this from the wrong direction (in my humble opinion). Kuroki is a craftsman, an artisan, not a bussines-man who runs a company to make profit; at least that's the image I have from him after reading several threads in this forum. In ...

Re: Is it worth it to buy from Kuroki
Sparky, that set looks really nice. Ok, I'll go for Kuroki's! Now I have to decide if going for the beginner's set or saving more money for something better. I can see myself buying and upgrading from time to time, but the shipping costs from Spain to Japan is a pain in the ass! Nevertheless getting ...

Re: Is it worth it to buy from Kuroki
Well, I've never been in front of a good Go set but I find quite surprising that everyone would prefer Kuroki's. I'm thinking too about getting a set and I thought that it was more importante the board (GGG is 6 cm, K's is 2.9 and multipiece) than the stones (I suppose the bowls are similar in ...

Re: I've read Go for Beginners by Kaoru Iwamoto- what next?
Second book of Go was my first
book after knowing the basics and play some games and I really liked it. There're parts that could seem difficult at first but it gives a pretty good general idea of the game and you can always read it again after gaining some levels to make more profit from it.
