But a seki isn't seki until the game is ended. For example, suppose in this dispute a ko is involved and the value of winning that ko greater than the value of the area in presumed seki. A play there (changing seki into death) could be the final ko threat.
The status of the group before playing ...

Re: EGC 2016
Cute is an understatement in my opinion. F4 was a really beautiful move. Something I'd never find if I was the one playing.
I'm a little confused they actually counted the first game, though. At this level you should be able to see such a difference in points beforehand.

Re: Malkovich registration - sign up here to play
Is anyone interested in a game right now? I've noticed that I tend to play really fast in certain situations even though I have enough time left on the clock so here's the deal: I'd like to play a Malkovich game with a maximum of 1 move per day. So even if I find an (at the moment) obvious answer to ...

Re: Multi-stone go variant
I've read about people playing a normal game of go with the difference, that 3 times per match every player could play 2 consecutive moves. It breaks the game to much. You might have fun playing around with it, but don't be surprised if you don't find any opponents who are interested in playing this ...

Re: Have researchers discovered the gene for aging?
Is promotion bad?
Don't misunderstand me, promotion is not bad of course. However, you have to keep in mind that they want to sell their product and will choose a flashy headline. I highly doubt that with the knowledge in this book we will be much close to biological immortality, but I don't mind ...

Re: Have researchers discovered the gene for aging?
It bugs me that this is promo for their upcoming book, not a published article.
If you're interested in this topic you might want to check out Aubrey de Grey who has worked on preventing aging for quite some time now. But I would take everything I read in this context with a big grain of salt.

Sometimes I just play some stones and see where I go from there, I just like seeing the board develop.
