How to search for topics related to Go without google failin
So I've found it hard to look up certain random questions I've had about Go. So often I'm directed to sites about pokemon go or CS go (an fps), both of which are much more popular in the west than Go. So my question is if there are any good keywords to use besides the extremely common word "go" I ...

Re: Are there any left handed Go players?
Ah, ok, thanks for the vid. Just thought it would look odd with the bowls on the same side, but it doesn't really look that odd. Heh, thanks for the fast replies; my curiosity is sated.

Are there any left handed Go players?
Thus far I think I have only seen somebody place a stone with their right hand. Do left handed Go players just learn to use their right hand similar to an instrument (like a guitar)? That seems pretty possible, but even then I'd expect there to be some pro or something out there who pulls a Jimmy ...

Anybody from about Kansas City?
Anybody from or around KC? I've been looking for Go players around here and it really seems like NOBODY plays it around here. I guess it's too much in the mid-west with country folks or something? But that's not true, it's a big city with lots of different people, so I would think somebody plays ...

And checking your phone for joseki during games won't help you improve, and may aggravate your opponent if playing across the table. Reminds me of Kimihiro from Hikaru no Go.
Lol that's exactly what I was thinking of.

What's the best way to learn a lot of Joseki?
So I got an app called BW-joseki and it's very cool and helpful. But there are just so many joseki! Any advice on good ways to commit them to memory? At least the most important ones (which still seems like a lot. I'd be thankful for any suggestions.

Re: Best Shusaku Games to study
Thanks for all the advice. I kind of want to try to respond to everybody but that might hard. Let me just say that I DO want to improve my game and playing through pro games may not be the best way to do it. However I also want to have fun. I agree with skydyr about subconscious learning as well ...

Re: Best Shusaku Games to study
What would your reply by if you had not played on KGS?
I probably would't have replied at all.
I am a kyu player. I would probably leave it to better players to give Dedalus advice.
Having played and 'knowing' him (or her), and seeing his way of playing, I felt more justified to reply.
I'm a ...

Re: Best Shusaku Games to study
Yes I think that must have been me. I realize I may not learn that much at my level, however it might at least give me an idea for shape and direction of play.
Mainly though I have a nice go board and nobody to play with in person. I want to, well, play with it and playing pro games sounds fun to ...

I ended up getting the set that Galation suggested. It's arrived at my house but I'm at work. I can't wait to get home and check it out!

New Go player, looking for a not to expensive board
So I'm pretty new but I've become rather fascinated with Go. I play online on Tygem and KGS and stuff, but I thought it would be cool to have a real board to play around with. Does anybody have suggestions for a reasonably priced board for a beginner? I'm thinking something not much over $100 ...
