Life In 19x19

I bought a chinese bamboo goban approx a year back.

one month after the purchase the board started bending, and is now seriously bent and cracks appeared on the surface. i guess they are not all of the same quality....

I have a similar experience with a bamboo go board I bought not even 1 year ago, on a french website.
The board started to crack and bend after just a few months.

I wonder if all those bamboo boards suffer from the same problems ?

I just barely scratched the surface, so i know i can and need to improve.
I think I can enjoy the game even more with experience/knowledge.

But, alas I am slow at learning.
