Or with ez4u's g2, what did you expect white to answer? If tenuki and then you can do something good that's a dream* like ignoring the atari above. Or if white answers at h2 then is that exchange good for you? No, white is alive, and now L2 block doesn't threaten to capture the k2 stone.
My guess ...

Re: Looking to have 4 games reviewed
I seem to have a problem with allowing my opponent to create large moyos or groups, especially in the beginning of the game. I have no idea how to prevent this/ penetrate those boxed in areas or strong groups. Im getting obliterated left and right, but that is partially because of bad reading and ...

Re: Looking to have 4 games reviewed
Hi,
what I noticed is that you have a tendency to exchange forcing moves from the inside of your opponents territory, that help him towards the outside and dont help you at all, because the inside stones are dead. I saw this in your 9x9 game, but I want to point to the situation in the 19x19 game ...

Re: what helped you improve?
When it comes to his strategy how to improve, I agree with everything besides watching stronger players commented games - I believe that it is still better to watch commented pro games / very high dan amateur games than games with more mistakes. If you want to be a wine connoisseur no point in ...

Re: what helped you improve?
-everything you said- a very mature appraisal for one so young - you are young, aren't you?".
One small point: nothing you said applies exclusively to Go; it applies to whatever you do: football, yoga, rocket science, or skipping.
Except for one thing: i don't agree that it has to be blood, sweat ...

Re: what helped you improve?
I haven't made an insane amount of progress on the goban in terms of ranking up (got some personal things i gotta take care of first, then i can focus on that), but Go has helped me improve as an individual more than anything. I used to flip out and get pissed off every time i lost, but I had to ...

Re: Another 9x9 review request
I would try getting rid of moves such as and . With those moves you are "peeping into a keima" but not cutting afterwards. In this game, not cutting is correct, because it doesn't work properly (if you cut at d5 in move b could e.g. reply on f5 and then capture at d6; also a cut at e7 in move does ...

Re: Another 9x9 review request
I'd say the biggest mistake was the tenuki at which allowed your left group to be killed. If you had kept that alive there's a good chance you would have won on territory. You would have also had the potential cut at D5 that could have been quite devastating for Black.
That D5 cut would have been ...

Re:
Hi,
If you don't want to be cut, and you want to split B, then the tengen E5 is an option.
You may also enjoy larger boards: 11x11, 13x13, 15x15, 17x17, etc.

Another 9x9 review request
It looks like my biggest problem with this game might have been the opening. Once black cut the board in two, im not sure how to counteract his progression from there. Afterwards it seems like i got smooshed into a corner with one group dead (which is pretty much game over ) and another safe group ...

Re: Lost by a few points consecutively
In the last game, was the losing move. Black should not have passed.

If your post seemed to be changing, it was because I was trying to edit it at the same time you were.
