I played a game on a 9x9 board with one of my sons and have several questions as we came to the end (or what we think was the end of the game). I was white with my son playing black with a 5 stone handicap placed on the traditional star points.

On a 9x9 game, both players would have 42 stones each ...

What does it mean to play thick? I have seen this term while browsing around at go content.

Recently decided to start playing Go after seeing it on a gaming app. Many years ago, I had collected about 9 books on the game intending to get around to it sometime. I'm now around to it.

Introducing the game to my kids and students at school as well.... we'll see where this journey "go"es ...
