Re: Still Alive...
Thank goodness my son hasn't heard about those. I don't think I could handle it!

Re: Still Alive...
Minecraft...? What's that?
Just kidding. OMG, I wish they'd stop. I know too much about creepers as it is.
I did make this cake for my son's birthday last year, though (just the topper)

Re: Still Alive...
My 9yo son gets bored if it's not a video game. We're focusing on books for now, but the stones got put away for a long time because of the younger ones. All of them had trouble with order of moves and they all still do. I should check with my son to see if he wants to be serious about playing... I ...

Re: Still Alive...
I'm even more still alive now...
I'm playing go (after a long hiatus), mostly involved at the club level (1-2 games a month).
I finished that masters of science in 2011...
Also had a 3rd kid...
and lots of life changes. ;D
I guess I don't really want life to slow down.
Sure, Koosh, I'd be happy to ...

Re: Kindle Goban
Sorry for the topic res, but this is awesome -- might make me upgrade my K1 when the time comes.
Any chance of a tsumego app like uliGo?

"Dating Fails" mod
I found this picture over at failblog.... and had to fix it.
I did it quick - shrinking the ear reddening move doesn't look great.

Re: Amazon Fire and KGS
My problem with rooting is that I supposedly lose access to the Amazon services (Prime streaming video and MP3), which I have and use... so unless that is resolved I'll probably keep the device locked up.
I don't understand why they don't just allow Fire uses to install the Google store. That seems ...

Re: Amazon Fire and KGS
+1 Kindle Fire user... I just got one for Christmas.
I read this thread about a month ago, but I can't remember if it was mentioned... $200 is a lot different than $400+ This was absolutely the #1 reason I asked for the Fire. (#2 is due to Amazon media).

Re: I h8 Tsumego
I was not a fan of tsumego at DDK. I tried (especially Davies' L&D, others) and the only ones I liked even remotely were the Korean Problem Academy's early sets (1-3 move solutions - you can find them on GoBase, but it requires a paid account).

Re: Picture Question / Go playing room
Thanks! I only wish I had my good camera back when I was travelling to Taiwan often. The P+S I had wasn't too bad for its time (2002, perhaps), but I really wish I had my DSLR.
This stop in Tokyo was actually a lay-over from Taiwan -- I figured it was my last (and possibly only) chance to see any ...
