Re: 26th Nongshim Cup

Looks like Shin Jinseo won the Nongshim cup for Korea when he defeated Li Xuanhao and Ding Hao in the last two games. Still, it was good to see the Japanese players play until the last round.
Japan didn't win any games in the first two rounds, so it's not like they reached the final round on merit ...

Re: Choi Jung

The women's Korean Baduk League has just begun. Given that Choi Jung won all her games last year, perhaps it might be better to not play her too often to give the other players experience in holding the team.
Choi Jeong played every round and yet her team failed to make the playoffs. They finished ...

Re: Sin Chin-seo's track record

I've just seen a table of Sin Chin-seo's career track record for official games. Hard to believe he started off with a negative record!

2012 (age 12) 0W-2L = 0%
2013 (age 13) 30-20 = 60%
2014 (age 14) 55-28 = 66%
2015 (age 15) 64-22-1 = 74%
2016 (age 16) 55-18 = 75%
2017 (age 17) 53-16 = 76%
2018 ...

Re: Sin Chin-seo's track record

Today marks 1 year since he last lost (an official game) to a non-Korean player (Mi Yuting in the Jia League). Since then he has played (and won) 24 games against Chinese players, 5 games against Japanese players, and 1 game against Taiwanese players.

Re: Amazon army

Right. In WBaduk (must be the same, after all), she is 4 d too.

She lost to Kim Cheayoun 7d, Korea's second player.

Taking down 3 rivals... it's really something.
Kim Cheayoung is Korea's third player.

Wu Yiming beat 5 players: Nakamura Sumire 2p, Lee Suljoo 1p, Suzuki Ayumi 7p, Heo Seohyun 3p ...

Re: Shin Jinseo

While in Korea the make and female number one's just dominant, especially in long time setting. Who knows, Shin Jinsei might just be at home in a two-day game.

I wasn't aware that Korea also liked long time settings. We're talking 2-day long matches or similar, right?
