Yes ive been on hiatus for personal reasons but i still get mails if someone posts here.
I will make very clear that the answer to give the match scraper is that its never going to be made public. There are tons of reasons i am not going to state (again)here.

Re: Problem with admins (yes this thread again)
Your question is about looking up IP addresses. I'm not aware of the IP address look-ups being made for reasons of idle curiousity. KGS doesn't permit stalkors to be admins. On a personal basis, I would feel uncomfortable if I see an admin deliberately stalking or otherwise invading a player's ...

Re: Problem with admins (yes this thread again)
just to open your eyes about the level of "privacy" you have while merely surfing the internet. if a site uses tools like google analytics i can tell what pages you are looking at live while youre browsing the site. i can also see what city youre connecting from, what OS you use, what language you ...

Re: 2012 Life in 19x19 Tournament Pairings & Results
The problem is not hosting, it's getting players to play through the whole thing.
The causing problem is probably the format of the tournament. Maybe the format stalkor suggests (ASR-like) would make it easier for the players to play through the whole thing.

Just a thought but ASR could host a league or tournament for L19x19 in the beginning of fall or late this year.

Re: new ASR site
yes, currently we use 2 sites for all info and we are transitioning to the new site as soon as possible.
we are also transferring the archive, but we arent sure how to do that yet so it will take some time.

Re: new ASR site
The most annoying reset in my life! But its done!
It took 2,5 hours of checking names and rechecking if they signed up on the new site or not. It was a total nightmare but luckily i only needed to do it once.

Re: what is the ASR doing wrong?
There are plenty of opponents in each gamma class. 25 or more players is a lot of potential games and 15 games is already a very good result in the league in most classes.
Right now, around 50 players would qualify for it, and to be fair, 15 are from alpha:) i also would make rules so that the ...

Re: what is the ASR doing wrong?
I can't allow inter class playing purely on the fact that there are multiple classes for a reason which is the pyramid system. True, it can be hard to find games, but also in alpha players are struggling to find games because they have virtually played everyone in their class.
Should i make it ...

Re: The demotion SAFEZONE
I am also thinking of doing that but if i set safe zone in gamma to 15 wouldnt that create a lazier atmosphere(im ok if i play 4 games, no hurry to play more...)?
Granted gamma has been more active the last few months but still about 90+ ppl drop from the league each month and about 1/3 is gamma ...

yesterday launched our new ASR site! check it out here .
So the site is pretty basic right now(only the ASR league), we plan on iterating improvements on a very regular basis and hopefully implement more functionalities as time progresses(tournaments, teaching platform, we have a lot of plans).

Re: ASR tournament system
I like this idea a lot. 4 times a year isn't too many, but not too little. The varying formats should keep things exciting for the given year. Rules are fine.
