Re: KGS Leben: browser-powered, open-source KGS client
Looks fantastic! Thanks, Stephen, for doing this work. I'll try to keep on top of any bugs in the JSON webapp that you find.

Re: Wanted! KGS stat tool from joncol
Mef is right. You can do all the requests you want as long as they are a few seconds apart.
As for mirroring, it would be tricky just because there is private information in the database. Email of users who request that their email be private, real names from people who paid for KGS Plus, etc ...

Re: Wanted! KGS stat tool from joncol
So here's what joncol told me: He took the script down because it couldn't be used anymore because of the limitations that KGS has put on retrieving data. He said he has sent an email now to the admins to see if they can losen up these limitations or not.
I hope they can! Nope.

Sweety is tough as nails! She'll give you nothing and make you glad to get it!!!
As for me, I'm not usually into quid pro quo but I can be blackmailed. If you ever manage to take a photo of me in a compromising position (e.g., playing chess), then you may have a deal.

Re: KGS ranking system
I just had an Idea, what if the handicap (default, and for automatch) were calculated using the difference in rating instead of the difference in rank.
This is more a matter of preference than accuracy. I thought it would be annoying if a 5k played a 6k, and might get anything from an even game up ...

I'm "low" everything but "moderate" for schizoid and narcissistic.

Re: 10 Years
No need to be a mystery - you solved it! It's mitdahand, AKA John Stephenson.goddess wrote:Shall we let it be a mystery?
If not, I will let you reveal it.
Re: 10 Years
That would be the last 13 year old account. I figured you might get it if you saw this thread.goddess wrote:I found one from August 2, 1999.
Is that old enough?
Re: 10 Years
dfan had a very early account, but he let it expire. He has reopened the account several times, but his active account is from January 2010.oren wrote:dfan?
Keep looking!

Yup! If I remember right, he was also the first admin. He retired from that position long ago.pwaldron wrote:wms wrote:Of the 4 teenaged accounts, two are mine (wms and Admin). Let's see if you all can figure out who the other two are.
One of them is John Tromp. Was he an early beta tester?
