Books on invasions

Can someone suggest books that go over invasion variations in particular how to invade a komuku jump with a 3 space low extension along the side or a 2 space extension for that matter rather than books that just show the best invading point.

Handicap system? difference between 1 and 2 handi

Okay so the first handicap stone is just the komi ommited so it is like half a stone (a whole stone you take black and pass then its one stone and reverse komi) the second handicap stone is a whole one because it is like giving your opponent on stone handi and then passing. Why does the handicap ...

http://www.lifein19x19.com/forum/download/file.php?id=1174 Can someone explain the purpose of the first ghost move? I know it is unignorable allows white to get forcing moves on the outside but how does it allow white to omit a direct answer to a14 "because of aji at a" (senseis library)

Re: determining the value of moves

yes it is um well also I personally don't like influence in a L shape because it seems to give the opponent too much territory and is hard to make into a good moyo (in my 9-6k opinion) how many points is it worth? because if it is ignored then whites influence is reduced. How many points is that ...

determining the value of moves

How do you determine the value of a move? As well which stones can be sacrificed? For example in the sgf file with the joseki poorly played my instinct was to play the last move on the second line to jump out but apparently its bad. I'm not sure about the value of broken influence. In the other ...

Re: Attacking a two space extension

well the source of the diagram isn't necessarily credible but it still doesn't answer how to attack a two space extension. (assuming you are very thick such as in the diagram. Assuming black makes a two space jump towards whites thickness how should white respond? (ie 1 and 2 are played) extending ...
