According to this article in Science we make riskier and less effective decisions as the day wears on and we get more tired. The research is based on computer analysis of a million chess games played online. Perhaps we are better off with those much maligned Mickey Mouse time limits in tournaments restricted to morning sessions so we don't get tired! Who could have known!?

I'd like to make good decisions at the goban.

Well, beyond the good decision to play at all.

Online playing schedule: Every tenth February 29th from 20:00-20:01 (if time permits)
Well I, for one, never did well playing online go at 12am.

Still officially AGA 5d but I play so irregularly these days that I am probably only 3d or 4d over the board (but hopefully still 5d in terms of knowledge, theory and the ability to contribute).

The stresses of my personal life have exceeded my desire to care about arguing about Mickey Mouse on L19. Trying to decide if that's a good thing or a bad thing. Maybe both.
