Hey guys, my Japanese is EXTREMELY limited, and anything that goes outside of XYZ won vs ABC is pretty much out of reach for me. That's why I heavily rely on (mostly crappy) machine translation on Twitter. However, this tweet sparked my interest: https://twitter.com/zuboranaAKKA/status/1071100911211036672?s=19 Are they REALLY making a new version of our beloved Hikaru no Go with real actors..? Can't quite believe it, although they've done it/are doing that for a few animated series already, all of them being great classics, though (as far as I know) - but now Hikaru, too..? Don't get me wrong, it could be awesome and maybe create a new wave of players, but at first it sounds a bit unbelievable. I hope someone with better Japanese knowledge can shed some light on it, thanks in advance for that! |

This is an old article from May. Basically, it seemed there was some talk of doing a net show in China based on Hikaru no Go. I'm guessing it didn't go anywhere, but who knows. |
