This must indicate that the profile of Go is increasing in Romania. One of the candidates for the Presidential election lists it as his favourite game.

Less unexpectedly, presidents of South Korea are sometimes Go players:

Current president Moon Jae-in is a 4 dan, here he is playing Park Junghwan with Seo Beongsu watching.
