the recommended move in this position is b1. then white follows d2, then black c1, then white a2 then black b3, then white is forced b4, then black h2, white j2 and finally black h1, securing his group. my question is, instead of 2 at d2, how about at b3? now white still only has one eye and i don t see a good way of making a second. for example here how can black force two eyes? |

We have to notice that the play also threatens to atari at "a" and capture . Can you read out how things might developed from here? |

Dear Eagle Eye, How about this? Which leads to a difficult fight, like maybe this. You may well have found a flaw in this problem. |
