Wow, Iyama (black, mainline in sgf) won by resign to end Yang's win streak. He played very powerfully in the middlegame fighting and took a commanding lead and never gave it up.

The sgf is a file from go4go for Yang vs Lee, into which I manually replayed the moves of Yang vs Iyama today whilst watching the game. I moved the Iyama game to the top variation, Lee is 2nd variation. I didn't modify the sgf meta data of player names. |

Park Junghwang defeated (B+R) Iyama Yuta today, and next he will play rest of Team China ( Ke Jie(9d), Fan Tingyu(9d), Mi Yuting(9d), Xie Erhao(9d) ). Next game should be tomorrow,most probably FGS will broadcast it (with FA evaluation as almost always). |

Drama! Park ran out of time, apparently after some technical mouse fault. He had decent lead in early endgame at the time. Referee review ongoing. Let's hope they handle it better than the Transatlantic match. |

Given the reference to Animal Farm, and since a poor wee creature is in danger of getting the blame here, I think it is time to recall the sage lines of Rabbie Burns and blame the humans. The abysmal refereeing of the transatlantic match, in which the referee didn't turn up until ~8 hours after the incident? Or did Iyama or Mi lose on time due to a suspected technical malfunction? If the former I'm glad as important a tournament as the Nongshim cup with 'proper' professional players feels no need to be consistent with an amateur-hour debacle. |

Well, my comment was partially sarcastic - in other thread i was told many times that it was only fair ruling possible, that this ruling is consistent with similar incidents from past (when i asked for example i was ignored, but who cares?) etc. I still stood on my opinion that game should be resumed as soon as technical problems are resolved. |

Thats very good point. What if Park would have totally lost position, lead of opponent would be irreversible? I think solution might be in case like Park now - treat his move like sealed move. When technical problems are solved, resume game, and reveal sealed move. |
