Proof of the proof (to insert the necessary mathematical/computing jargon necessary for every post nowadays).

I can't see a way of turning the picture round, so this is a book you will have to read lying down in bed.

First impression is again the excellent quality and strength of the Amazon production despite it being 1.4 inches thick.

JPEGs have metadata, which includes rotation information. I suspect that we are using a non-standard method of displaying them - IOW, we are ignoring the rotational information.

It looks like you took the photo horizontally, then you or your camera rotated it and that rotation is in the metadata.

Congrats on the new publication - not bad for someone who is lying down on the job. :)

Can't wait to get a copy!
I don't study much go these days but replaying old games remains a favorite of mine.

I took the photo vertically on an iPhone. On my iPhone and iPad the photo (within L19) correctly remains vertical. It also appears correctly, on the Windows platform, within the Photos browser and in the graphics program PaintShop.

But in both my up-to-date Windows browsers (Edge and Explorer), and also within the Livemail slideshow, it appears sideways.

I won't hazard a guess where the discrepancy lies. But Hamish and Jock feel hard done by. They haven't had their quaichs of whisky yet and so have no reason to be horizontal.

Looks like a great book - any possibility of it being available in the Go Books app?

Nice to see the use of the Go Wisdom format.

I don't know what that is, but if you mean an e-version - no. However, an earlier e-version (fewer games and minus Go Wisdom) is available on SmartGo.

Sorry - I meant the SmartGo Go Books app - the one you already have several books on. Thanks!

I don't find the book on Amazon, either the USA or the UK.

The author plans to release around March 5th. This is an advance copy for proof-reading.
