Awesome! I've bought it and analyzed two games so far. Now I just need a new iPhone. Can anyone comment on how fast it does playouts on an XR or XS?

On iPhone X it is 14-15 nps.

What is nps?

hyperpage san,

Thank you for purchasing my app!
I am asking my users to tell me nps on Twitter if they have XR or XS, but currently no responses...
In my estimation based on the comparison between A12X and A12, XR or XS will achieve about 100 nps. But I am not sure.

When I get some related information, I will tell you it.

Thank you!

casch san,

Thank you for rating my app!

And also thank you for information about iPhone X.
It is quite helpful for me.

Nps means number of playouts per sencond.

In the time parity condition, large nps means strong.
Or you can get a certain search result quickly if nps is large.
(Even if nps is not large on your device, giving the app time eventually let the app show similar result as powerful devices.)

Thank you!

On An Empty Board

iPhone 5s, 1.1 N/s
iPhone 6 Plus, 1.4 N/s
iPhone X, 13-15 N/s
iPhone Xs Max, 130-160 N/s
iPad Air 2, 2.6 N/s

For Devices Lower than A12 it will be nice to be able to start the study on demand else its impossible to scroll all the way to the move you really want to study
The magnifying option should be disabled by default on iPads

Thanks !!!

My ideal workflow is what I had with crazy stone--I start the analysis, and leave it to run in the background for an hour or more, then see what the engine has thought of. I wonder if you have any intent to support that kind of use?

Also, possible bug report: one thing I've seen is that when the app is evicted from memory, I have to restart from scratch.

Kaliwan san,

Thank you for your great information!
I am surprised that A12 Bionic performs much better than expected.
Your information will be helpful for customers to decide the purchase.

And I understand your two feature requests.
I will consider those.

Thank you!

hyperpape san,

About back ground mode, I was worried about battery consumption.
My app consumes all charge current on new iPad Pro in study mode.^^;
I will think if there are any good manners.

And about the bug, yes, your are right, it is a bug.
I will fix it in the next version soon.
I am sorry for inconvenience.

Thank you!

Kaliwan san,

Currently, my app outputs move sounds even in manner mode.
This is a bug.
Next version, which was already applied, will fix it.
Is it enough for you?
Or do you want a complete silent mode?

Thank you so much for keeping playing my app!

Complete silent mode will be a nice option
One feature you may implement is a slider to arrive to the desire position to study (instead of pressing 100 times  )
you could download the pandanet ios app and give it a look

Yes, it would be really good to be able to navigate through games easier.

I am sorry that I introduced a new bug in the latest version.
You will not be able to see variations in study mode.

So if you have not updated it yet, please DO NOT update.
If you already updated, please wait next version.

That makes sense. I've noticed how fast it drains the battery when unplugged.

I usually plug in my phone before doing analysis, though. Could you detect battery percentage or check that the device is charging? I've never done iOS programming, but I think I've heard you have access to the battery state.

hyperpape san,

You can check if the device is charging or not programmatically.
But honestly still I hesitate to consider it positively because Apple restricts continuous background jobs severely.
Only jobs such as playing music, tracking GPS, are allowed.

Doesn't keeping the app foreground work well for you?

Ah, no worries, just now I searched for it again and this time the App store presented me your app … purchased it (but will postpone a review until I have more time to check it out). I just tried playing with it a little bit … crashed once (can't remember what I did, sorry) … but looks really nice, looking forward to your further development.

Bonobo san,

Thank you for purchasing my app!
And I am sorry that the app was crashed.
If you are using version 1.1.0, it has an apparent pattern for crash and the bug was fixed in 1.1.1.
But as I wrote the previous post, I introduced a new bug by mistake.
The verion 1.1.1 is not fully functional.
Please wait for 1.1.2 for a while.

The other crash pattern is the case that the available memory was not enough.
The app keeps 1/3 of memory aat first and consumes more gradually.
If OS and other apps are also consuming much memory, the app will be crashed suddenly.

Thank you for your cheers!

Hi.

The version 1.1.2 has been released!

https://itunes.apple.com/jp/app/%E5%9B% ... 35374?mt=8

Two bugs were fixed.
- You could not take back a move in both play and study modes.
- You could not see variations in study mode.

I was sorry for inconvenience by my careless mistake.
Enjoy!

I don't know what I was thinking saying "background". I'm happy to leave the app running.

What I meant is that I'd like to plug it in and leave it to analyze while I do something else other than look at the phone, and have it return with an analysis of the entire game, if I give it enough time.
