The World Go AI Championship concluded today, with Yile Go (Hong Kong, China) defeating Lao Qiang Go by 3-0. They won the championship and were awarded a prize of $27,800. This marks Yile Go’s third world championship title in AI Go, having previously won the 13th UEC Go AI Championship and the AI championship at the Gangwon-do Go Tournament in South Korea.
YiLe Go is an AI team newly established in 2020. They have modified the open-source Go AI software “KataGo,” focusing mainly on optimizing the engine, improving search algorithms, and conducting high-quality game record training. This has resulted in more stability and comprehensive improvements in authority.
