Does anybody know the status of the Hikarunix project :
http://senseis.xmp.net/?HikarunixHikarunix was a live Linux CD dedicated to learning, playing and studying Go (by Karl Sigler). It is based on DSL (Damn Small Linux).
It brings together several interesting resources / tools (gogrinder, kombilo, gnugo, a snapshot of Sensei's library, databases, documents, ...).
It can be used as a live CD or installed as a virtual machine (works perfectly using Virtualbox for instance). Really nice resource.
Unfortunately the project seems abandoned since Sept 2005 (last iso : 0.4, still available).
Apparently Karl Sigler, the author of Hikarunix (
http://www.hikarunix.org) did not have time in pursuing further development of Hikarunix, but was willing to hand it over.
The project homepage
http://www.hikarunix.org is now used by domain squatters. A new domain has been set up recently (May 2013) :
http://www.hikarunix.com/ with the following : message : "Currently, we prepare the next release of Hikarunix. This is a GNU/Linux distribution based on debian for playing/studying Go."
Any information about this next release and who is involved in this ?
