I'm sure this has been asked before, but what apps let you natively view a game, given a URL from which it can be downloaded?

Well, that was quick: I just hadn't found that you could do this in smartgo, via my games > new game > open from web.

SmartGo (as well as most go apps for iOS) have the Open In feature, so if you open a webpage with sgf extension, Safari will offer you to open in one of them

Just FYI EasyGo and GoEye also have such option (via built in web browsers).
