Hi, I'm trying to run Moyo Go studio on linux using wine. I've run into the classic problem of the stones not being visible. I've opened a new wine bug here: https://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=35627

I've tried it on ubuntu 13.10 and debian 7 using both compiled and pre-built packages, but no luck.

I've seen several people reported to get it to work in linux, so I'd to know what flavor of linux you're using, what version of wine you're using, and what you did to get it to work if you had to do anything.

If I can figure out what the solution is, I'll post it on the bug and once I get wine to add MGS to the wine app DB I'll add the solution there as well.

In case anybody encounters this post later, I've found the cause of this problem. It seems that this is caused by the Nvidia graphics drivers.

Currently I have a hybrid graphics laptop. (https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/hybrid_graphics for more info)

When testing this program, I was using the Nvidia GPU. Recently I switched to the Intel GPU and found that the program worked as expected. Stones are drawn correctly on the board.

I'm going to bring up this issue with Nvidia to see if it can be fixed.

Hello krafczyk,

I have the same problem here. I have a GeForce GT 540M in a Vaio notebook, the driver version is 304.116 . Don't think I have hybrid graphics. Any suggestion?

Regards.
