Please somebody tell me where you can buy them. The stones I ordered from YMI have a very shiny glossy finish. I prefer a matte finish. |

Hi Joe, See if you can find ING 10mm weighted plastic stones. They're 100% matte. ( But they seem to have discontinued this product... so good luck... ) |

You don't know of anybody that sells plastic matte stones? You would think all plastic stones would be matte because aren't real Yunzi stones matte? I am asking because I'm making my own board and need stones for it. The set I have now are a matte finish but as other have mentioned before I purchased my set from Barnes and Noble. The set is small, not like a real go board which is much larger with larger stones. I also don't want to buy real Yunzi stones only because I heard about them containing small traces of lead. I don't care if its a very small amount. I don't want anything to do with lead. |

Hi Joe, Quote: You would think all plastic stones would be matte because aren't real Yunzi stones matte? I don't follow the logic: what's the connection between the finish of plastic stones and other stones ? I imagine it's entirely up to each manufacturer: if they decide a smooth shiny finish, then the mold is smooth; otherwise matte. What does it have to do with any other types of stones ?

The glossy stones reflect light, thats my problem. Its a distraction when playing seeing the lights on my ceiling reflecting off of the stones |
