There was a thread in GD about go study spaces that I really liked. I've always wanted to have a space to have my go board out and be able to leave a game out.

And I've finally got one! :)

Here it is:

I'm looking forward to seeing yours. :)

P.S. -Mods, Don't know if this fits here or general go chat better.

I really need a new camera. Ok, I think that's better.

I had a board out on my coffee table where I'd have problems from the weekly Ing lectures on KGS. But any horizontal space in my apartment quickly becomes cluttered with crap.

This is in the office. Now if I can find another 6k in my town, I'll be happy.

I've got two desks in an L shape in my home-office, and at the far end is where I put my goban. I have a book stand behind it, so I can lean my books, Go Worlds or iPad, and room for my stones in bowls to the right. To the lift is a slim bookcase with my go books.

*drools*

Edit: I've seen a legged board protected by a clear plastic cover, and I was interested in having something of the kind for mine, to keep the game undisturbed. Does anyone have something similar, or know how to get/make one?

P.S. - BTW, bonus points for anyone that guesses what game I have on my board. :p

This is apparently the kind of study space you will need if you want to improve from 9 kyu to 9 kyu in just one year's time.

I use a real board for H2H games and teaching games, but when I'm studying, I use this setup. Thank heavens for wireless mice.

Yes, I really need a camera.
Yes, it's in my closet - for some reason I find it easier to study in tight space, less distractions.
Yes, that is a 9d vs. 9d game I'm going over.

Is it any wonder I don't get any studying done?

Mad props for the pink book though, it's one of the best books on shape out there, hands down.

+1 for The Pink Book.

...But I must beg to differ with fwiffo; the muted magenta of the tin box causes an irreconcilable color clash. The black bag, however, nicely offsets a brash color like bubble-gum pink.
