I'm contemplating on offering my board, bowls and stones for sale. The problem is, I don't have a clue of current realistic value. The items in question are:
- 6cm thick kaya board
- cherrywood bowls
- size 34 slate and shell stones (jitsuyo)
All are in my mind excellent condition. They were purchased from Kiseido in 2010, but have been very rarely used.

How would the experts on the forum estimate their current value?

Do you know how much you paid for it? Take 20 percent off that, or however much you feel like taking off. Your board could be worth anything depending on cut, colour, construction, quality, source, etc.

The price of slate & shell stones has increased a lot over the years, judging by the Nihon Ki-in catalogues; even used they might be worth more than the original 2010 price.

See https://www.nihonkiin.or.jp/publishing/catalogue/ for the current catalogue.

Thanks for the link. Unfortunately the pages are in Japanese (and PDF, so my browser doesn't translate them). From what I could tell, it seems that current prices for the new stones is almost equal to what I paid for the whole set (assuming that the cheapest price is for Jitsuyo and not for something more expensive)

As for the quality of the board, it is a four-piece board and it should be of decent quality (no knots etc). I do not the the maker, but it is my understanding that Kiseido sourced their boards from local craftsmen.

e: this is how the board was described to me at the time of purchase (I just couldn't find the knot, but I trust it is there somewhere):

Quote:
6.0 cm thick with masame grain, made of four piecees of wood, made from wood harvested from the same tree. The color is a uniform yellow. There is only one pin-prick like knot on the surface.
