I've recently become re-energized about go, but can't seem to find any local clubs. I know there are some clubs on the North side of Chicago/Evanston, but these are quite far from me. There used to be a club at the University of Illinois at Chicago, and another in Oak Park, but both seem to be gone. Does anyone have more up to date Chicago information?

I know the Schaumburg (Starbucks at Streets of Woodfield on Thursday nights) and Evanston are quite active (AGA link from gowan). I haven't heard much outside that.

There's a google group (Chicago Area Go Clubs, https://groups.google.com/forum/#!forum/chica-go-clubs) for it as well, and you might be able to get a few more responses from people there.

Directions:

By public transportation-
Take the #8 Halsted bus to 31st Street and walk west two blocks to Morgan Street
or take the CTA Red Line to Sox-35th and take the #35 35th Street bus to Morgan Street and walk north four blocks to 31st Street.

The #8 and #35 busses run until 11pm. The Red and Orange Line run all night.

By car-
There is ample street parking on Morgan Street.
