Hi all. I'm from MT, but I find myself traveling to the bay area for business about once a month. I've googled a bit, but I'm struggling to figure out which go clubs are active in bay area and when/where they meet. If you are from that area and in the know, could you please let me know what clubs are active and when they meet? Thanks. Jeff |

SF is most active. Theyre open most days, but most active on weekends. I think Palo Alto is active, but one time i went during scheduled hours and it was closed. Not sure what that was about. Berkeley is also active, and maybe Stanford. Theres also a monthly AGA ratings tournament that gets 20-30 ppl, and Mingjiu Jiang, a well known Chinese 7p, lives here and gives weekly talks at one of the local clubs. Out of the clubs on bayareago.org, I can confirm that the Palo Alto, Mayfield, Sunnyvale, and Berkeley clubs are all very active and meet most every week. |
