Essentially, I considered continuing playing in the bottom left part in the board with either a or b. I think the point A is pretty big for either player, and I would like to get sente at some point so that I can come back and play it. The cut at B seems interesting, but I don't really know how I could follow it up. I know that trying to kill that white group is probably the wrong idea, so I want to attack it for profit, but I don't think I can at this point. If white takes the time to come back and fix the cut, I will get to play a free move elsewhere.
Ultimately, my groups seem strong enough in the bottom left that I can invade up top. 3-3 seems the simplest so that's what I chose.
