I tried doing an Amazon search under Weiqi instead of Go Game, for a change, and got interesting results.

Weiqi Wonders: Conversations About the Game of Go in China

Has anyone seen this video? I'm considering buying it, but there are no reviews. (It's on Instant Video, too, for half the price, or for $2 to 'rent.')

Also, has anyone tried the silicon floppy Go board yet? Just curious.

Well, I've seen it now.

The interviews run from quite dull to entertaining. If you already know what Go is and how the ranks are set up, the first ten minutes may bore you to tears. :D But many of the later discussions are interesting, and the guys from the park are quite fun.

The disc has some technical issues. It was a DVDr (I knew that when I bought it) and was apparently authored on iDVD, the DVD authoring program that comes free with Mac Os. (I laughed when I saw the same standard template and music I've used for my own DVD menus.)

The biggest problem was that I have a fullscreen tv, and instead of letterboxing the image, like normally happens with widescreen DVDs, it cropped the sides, cutting off part of the subtitles. As annoying as that was, the disc played fine on the computer, and on the Blu-ray player/widescreen projector at work.

It might also have been cool if someone had proofread the subtitles.

All in all, not bad to watch, but I'll have to give it 3 out of 5 stars on Amazon.

I got this set here:

http://www.amazon.com/WE-Games-Ultimate ... 92&sr=1-35

which is the exact same board but it comes with plastic stones. It's actually quite nice. I like it. (See the review I posted on Amazon.)
