I'm somewhere in the 10-15 kyu zone, and have been playing a few games against a 1 Dan. One of the games I thought I had a good chance of winning as black until a bad misread resulted in a fatal move at 197. after my center group was cut off I resigned. If I had saved that group, I thought I would have been in the lead. If anyone can confirm that and/or give me any other comments on the game that would be much appreciated.

Hi Bg123,

:b25: Did you consider or read the cut ?

:b27: H8 ?

:b39: Maybe hane first ?

:b41: C18 first ?

:b43: Wrong shape. If tiger's mouth, G17.
If knight's move, H17.

( :w44:, :b45: ) You see why :b43: is wrong shape.
If :b43: at G17, then you can resist with the hane at G15.
If :b43: at H17, then after G16, you're almost settled.

:b47: Extend...

( :b47: , :b49: ) Suddenly, your shape is all over the place...
