Why not? There's already a free iPad client.

Well, there's probably some code related to the server protocol etc. that can be transferred, but I think that while the iPad and iPhone are selling well in Asian countries, that hasn't really spilled over to the Mac. I'm not super confident about that, but I think it was the case a year or two ago.

I do some work for a software company that has its software distributed in Japan, and it sells quite well there. I don't know about any broader numbers, but I know that Macs are pretty big in Japan.

And porting an iOS app to Mac OS X is actually relatively simple. There are a number of such apps being sold on the new Mac App Store already. It's more a question of whether they want to do it or not.

No go apps, though, on the Mac App Store as yet.

The current Chinese Tygem client works with WINE, at least on Linux, so it should work for Mac as well.

I don't have personal experience, but I believe WINE is in much worse shape on that Mac than on Linux.

I looked it up, and apparently many WINE binary packages available for Mac are out of date. It is recommended that you build it yourself, in which case it is guaranteed to be at the same stage of development as the Linux version.

There is a collection of go servers, all inter-related. It's arguably one of the largest network of online Go players.

If you download and connect through the Korean software, it is called TYGEM.
If you download and connect through the Chinese software, it is called TOM.

Nagano, do you have any idea how the radio broadcast works? Will we able do a broadcast when there is an english client? Personally i like this feature very much :)

I've never used that feature and I don't have any details on what will be included in the English client. I asked Lee Hajin 3P about it, but she doesn't know either.
