One day I decide to play go in a Chinese server of Tygem. After being defeated by this opponent 2 times in a row, I played another game with him/her. I am pretty sure that I've won, regardless, either a server error or some sort of hack caused me to lose by 4000 points and have this registered as a loss. This is the only instance where this happened to me. Could this have been some sort of cheat? I played black, and I definatley did not lose by 4000 points.

Wow. Whether cheating, bugs, or whatever was involved, you have to respect a 4000 point game. :o Craziness~

Only way I could see a normal game end with thousands of points loss is if you kept playing a superko like those where you give two stones in return for one stone over and over again for quite some time.

According to your stats you could not have lost two games prior to that one, unless you used a different account. :-? I will say though, that I've played several hundred games on Tygem, and never had an issue with the scoring. It tends to be remarkably accurate. Perhaps this is an issue with the new client. I suggest you post to their boards about it.

Had the same issue just today. Scoring system failed to determine status of a one rather easy group and kept telling me that i lost by several thousand points. I was seriously behind so i just resigned. Looks like the new client is actually buggy.

No, I would have won by 3.5. I thought that in order to fix the scoring error in the server I would have to kill all the stones in my territory that were already dead. I checked and if I had not done this, I would have won by 3.5 points. It does matter, but not that much.

Also happened to me, but my opponent resigned, because he saw he was behind.

Anybody reported it already? I'm afraid it's an issue only with an english client, so somebody gotta do it. I couldn't find any contacts on their site besides facebook and twitter, which I don't have, so i suggest that somebody would take the initiative here.
