Played one game today. Kind of fast and bloody game, against a 7k. Sometime maybe it's good to play weaker. I don't know how 2 stones gives so much difference, that I can play aggressive move that I cannot read until the end and usually won't play. Good practice. 2 days to go in the ASR League. I think there won't be a good chance that I'll get promoted.

And I'll pick ONE book to do tsumego. Maybe 1000?

I failed to get promoted in the ASR League, but i did have difficulty to find a game at the end of the month. The whole league thing is like...others beg me for games in the first 2 weeks and i beg others for games in the last 2 weeks.

About the Tesuji I learnt today: Cut. There's a problem in real game, that i do not dare to cut often as i can not see clearly what happens after cut, counting liberties etc... But I think I should apply the provb "Cut first, Cut later"...

I'd like to finish that Yi Chang ho's yose book 1. And also the 1000 problems. Get promoted in the league, 22 players in a class does sound scary

It's getting better now. I'm starting to play games, slowly and seriously. Now I feel like being back to ddk, where I tried to read every move.

At the beginning of the first game, I was a bit unease. Having been playing too many blitz games, I found myself lost in searching for the right move. And the mistake in the begining of the game give me an impulse to resign again. I stopped and spoke one or two words with oren in the L19 room, and after feel less pressure I went back in reading. My second game is a simul. My opponent played 8 players at the same time. And I am the last one to finish the game. Because it's a simul, i have more time to read and play the game on my pace, which delighted me. My opponent wasn't too happy at the end when my game was the only one left and i still used 3 minutes for one move. I did not have the two games fully reviewed, but I had my main questions answered.

And as the frequent updates of the journal may cause issues to some players on the forum, I'll modefy it to a weekly basis by editing the last post in the week.
