Yes....I'm pretty much a total beginner.

Yes....I'm still losing fighting in my first 100 games.

And No...That doesn't discourage me :D

In fact, I've been looking through some of the things people have in THEIR study journals, and I just find the idea fantastic. And I imagine that the people actually making the effort to write them are benefitting even more than the people reading.

So I figured "Why wait?" I may as well get started now. (and document the whole epic process! )

For the moment this is more a declaration of intent than a real study journal. I really have taken some people here at their word and will hobble my way through a good number of games before I start 'studying' in any organised way. That makes sense to me, and also means that I can 'just play' (which by extension is a way of showing 'lightness' in my games ;-) ).

I'll be back when I have played 100 games, or when something catches my interest enough to drag in here.

Oh...I may end up working my way through 'Graded Go exercises for Beginners' when I'm stuck in the train ;-) (can't do any harm)

No, it can't :-) I've had those book since maybe three weeks after learning the rules, and still learn from them.

LONG...road back to this thread.

My wife had a very serious spine injury, and Go just faded right out of life, I didn't even think of it for something like a year. I deeply and sincerely apologise to all my opponents who won by timeout.

SO...back and hungry!
