Maybe you'll be stronger when you try to be more aggressive.

**Somehow i cannot put sgf into my files.. Normally i follow the way of
1. Upload file and submit the post.
2. Edit post
3. Right click uploaded file and open in new window.
4. Copy the link.
5. Put "sgf" and copy the link inside.
6. Submit again.

It was working till 3 weeks ago:(

Hi PlaySlow,

I always embed the SGF text directly;
I never use the file method (indirect).

Hey Edlee! You mean you insert EIDOGO link into SGF "by embedding SGF text directly"? Sadly this is also not working for me:(

Hi PlaySlow,

There is no link. I copy & paste the SGF TEXT directly in between the [SGF] tags.
Use the "Quote" button to see this post, and compare it to your post 122.

This method has always worked for me. :)

For KGS files you only need to past the url for the game record directly between the "sfg" tags. This is server dependent though. On OGS clicking on the game length kicks off the OGS viewer rather than downloading the file and so the method does not work. Here is your game direct from the KGS Archives for wretched.

On OGS there is a game link menu on the right, or just construct it from this template:
https://online-go.com/api/v1/games/{game id}/sgf

Hi Playslow,

makjayden:

:w26: double hane.

:b35: Bad wedge -- B helped you...

:w36: ...but you refused his help.
Just connect P15 -- what can B do ?

:b45: S16.

Universal go server handle: skydyr
Online playing schedule: When my wife is out.
For the second game:

After :b29: basic instinct is to come out with the group on the left. Once black connects at :b41: white's result is terrible unless he can survive in the corner.

At :b45: black's group isn't that weak. It has forcing moves to come out more, can pressure white's corner group, etc. I'd rather respond with a one-space jump and make an invasion severe.

At :w76: splitting seems fine, but I'd follow up with a bamboo joint to make black's initial stone look pointless and then go to the top right. Playing in this way so black easily lives on the side and has influence aiming right makes black's move look good unless the center gets into trouble.

:w86: is only bad in that it may be premature.

At :w90:, white's priority of stones is a bit backwards. I'd atari from above first, and then atari the lower stone and connect after he pulls out. White's stones should be strong enough to fight well at that point, and black's group isn't entirely alive.

In the top right, when black plays on top of the initial stone, what's wrong with just connecting? Black has awkward cutting points, and white doesn't. Giving away the whole big corner is too much when the center is undercut.

At 151, you don't need to read, just see that if you keep pushing black has nowhere to go.

At 186, B looks bigger to me, because white can't make much on either side, but this is black's big area of potential.

After 1 week break between monthly go workouts, I'm back! This month's goal is to finish Jump Level Up 1 & 2 (10-6 kyu) as well as 4 slow games per week. I will also enter my first tournament at May 13-14th.

Here's a game i lost because of misreading while i was ahead! It's funny since i was focusing on reading for last 1.5 month. Actually i read the situation right at the start and then forgot what i read lol..

Hi PlaySlow,

:w10: It's good to know the follow-ups to :w8: since he ignored you.
When you kicked with :w8:, he didn't reply with Q5 -- why didn't you take it yourself ?

:b11: After this jump, his group is not weak.
If you jump in, you're only going after his 1 stone at R14.
He won't have two weak groups, just the R14 stone.
This is because you missed to follow up after :w8: .

As I'm always too much focused on killing... ;-) There is a killing move against b's lower left corner from move w106 on (and b could have defended from move 107 on). It seems not very important in this game, since w is leading anyways, but with this information it should be easy to spot...

In general you're falling prey to 2 kinds of mistakes:

a) leaving the battlefield early, surrounding a lone stone before surrounding a big group, playing what seems big before what is urgent
b) attacking from too close, forcing the opponent to connect through small gaps, thus hurting your position

The idea of peeping/poking to reinforce yourself on that side is wrong. Locally the peep almost always strenghtens the opponent. Therefore most peeps actually remain better unplayed. We play them because we like to force our opponent into an answer. In this case the peep deprived you of a grand hane and as such it was a thank you move.

Other than that, well done to win the game.

3 games played today. 1 against 6k, others are against 7k. 1 win 2 loss. But losses feel very very different. I felt so ahead in games but made 20 kyu reading mistakes overall.. I should have won them easily. At least now i feel strong..

Only game 3 and beginning of game 1 has comments, i deleted other reviews because i got too mad at myself with my reading..

Another game against 7 kyu, at some mid game fights i feel clueless, any help is appreciated as always:)
I will play in my first tourney at May 13-14th so practicing hard these days. The goal for this month is to play 4 slow games per week and finish Jump Level Up 1 & 2 (10 kyu to 6 kyu - 320 pages of questions about pretty much everything about the game)

The games will be 1 hour + 25 move/10 min byo yomi. And we'll play 3 games in saturday! 2.5 hours are given for each game, I need to get my condition up.
I also played only 2 games on a real board before =)
