The following go song was written by my girlfriend, Gineke.

It is sung to the tune of Don McLean's "American Pie".



A long long time ago...
I can still remember
how the opening would go so well.
And I knew if I just hung in
that I could grab a major win
and, maybe, get promoted, who can tell?

But the mid-game made me shiver
with every hand that I delivered
Then he caught a core stone
I couldn't play one more stone

I can't remember what I thought
when I saw my group was one eye short
as it lay sadly on the board
the day my stones all died

Tried to make an eye in sente
but he wouldn't reply

I didn't knew the song, so I read these lyrics while hearing it for the first time with EdLee's link in the background, and it worked quite well. Good job matching the original words!

Actually, I was talking about just that with my girlfriend, and she would like to record it (she's a good singer). She could do it a cappella, but she thought it would sound nicer if someone accompanied it on guitar, so we're going to try and convince one of our guitar playing friends to do so :)
