Nice to know there are lurkers! :batman: Heh, heh...

It is winding down to the end. But not QUITE yet. Probably not as many as 200 pages, though.

Sorry, it can't go on forever, people are pestering me for the sequel to my book, and I have to get back to it sometime before they stop asking for it.

Not even if we make doe-eyes?

No flashbacks to Master Tenuki's troubled childhood? No climactic showdown against Tesuji Tiger? No subplot about the Iron Goban of Gord? No epilogue with Nozoki taking the pro exam? What about the bats - we never got to see the bats!!!

Exactly, well observed!
In the German discussion group we are already admiring how
well suited Inkwolf's timing is. No one with the slightest
feeling would expect a continuation of Aji's Quest before,
say, Xmas 2013 or maybe 2014.

Cheers,
Rainer

Sorry, guys! :D Things have just been very hectic lately. Every time I think I'm getting back to drawing, something comes along and eats up all my free time!

I'm also debating whether I should put out the conclusion in one solid chunk from here on, instead of in small doses...

Dear Inkwolf, pls don’t feel pressed to please us ;-) I think it will all be just fine when it comes to you.

Cordially, Tom

Hi Inkwolf,

I think I understand your problem. You set up your story as if it will last forever. Now you don't know how to put an end to it. Maybe you want to ask the audience for an advice. For me I would look for inspiration in Ravel's Bolero or in the 1001 night stories. Wishing you fine inspiration.

No, actually, I know exactly how it will end, and have since the beginning. But I've been working on it for a year now, on and off, and am a little burned out on it. Drawing takes a long time, and when I am doing five pages a week, that's pretty much ALL my free time.

And I suppose I am a little resistant to the idea of actually having it come to an end, too.

Hang in there, I just need to get some momentum going again...

:-D somehow … this seems perfect for me—patience is the hardest thing to learn :-) and I imagine if you, Inkwolf, start working on it again only if and when you feel that urge AND have the time, it will be perfect timing again :-)

Aji needn’t learn faster than me :•)

I just discovered Aji's Quest today - I've enjoyed it immensely. I was looking forward to lunch so that I could finish it.

Are you still hoping to finish it? It's so good that it'd be wonderful to make a print version if so.

Best, Nate

I hate to post here and make everyone hope there's an update...yes, it will definitely get finished unless I drop dead before it happens. Meanwhile, I seem to have a lot of projects and procrastinatory impulses to slog through first...on top of that, my hands seem to have forgotten how to draw everything in the comic.

But, for those who have been patiently and faithfully waiting, I can at least give you a tiny, tiny update....

Again, so sorry for the long (and continuing) interruption!
