There is an interesting way of providing incentives for this. If a player has lost 6 games - and the match - every win thereafter doubles the loser's prize at the winner's expense. ( In the most extreme circumstances, player A could win the first 6 games, then B wins the next 4, making his total 2*2*2*2*30,000 = 480,000. Player A would then get only 800,000 - 480,000 = 320,000. )
This might keep the match interesting even if one player gets an early lead.

I think if they just play for money it isn't very interesting. Historically multigame matches happened for reasons other than money. There were matches to determine whether one player or another should be promoted, whether a player could be Meijin-godokoro, and, in the case of the famous matches of Go Seigen in the 20th century, they happened because Go was not allowed to play in tournaments. If he had been allowed to play in tournaments I doubt that the matches would have happened. Gu Li and Lee Sedol play each other often in tournaments.
