I was watching the new series of Takeshi's Castle on TV the other day. Takeshi's Castle is a reboot of an old Japanese game show that centres around competitors engaging in various test of physical 'skill' (taken loosely, see
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d5abTD7ys6I) and usually ending up falling into a pool of water or mud. It was brought to a number of Western TV markets with native speakers providing alternate commentary.
Regardless, the new series is entirely in Japanese with subtitles. After a while your brain starts latching on to Japanese words and sounds, and I was shocked to hear one of the competitors described as Meijin! Yamada Katsumi (
https://sasukepedia.fandom.com/wiki/Yamada_Katsumi) is a perennial competitor in the Sasuke competition (like American Gladiator, etc). The English subtitles described him as "legendary", but the Japanese used Meijin. I'm sure this fellow would be proficient and deadly with the Nuclear Tesuji (
