Its a BIBA+Kaya.gs event, to call attention to both projects. I hope you all guys attend and participate .
How, may I ask, did you come up with the idea to offer 3 handicap stones to Kim Seung-jun? Even in exchange for a 65 point komi it seems odd. And how was the offer made?
Granted, I'm intrigued, and I look forward to the game but I'm curious about the genesis.

My assumption was that it was meant to be about a 3 stone handicap in favor of Dex.
Assuming that each additional stone is worth the same ammount in compensation, Dex playing White and giving Kim (Black) 3 stones and receiving 65 points komi should be approximately the same as Dex playing Black and receiving a reverse komi of around 22 points if my math is correct. Isn'this slightly more favorable to White (Kim) than Black (Dex) just having a three stone handicap?
I guess we wil lfind out soon if its even. Noted that even we are not sure what would be the exact balance.
But certainly it will be delicious to see Kim making the best out of 3 handicap stones. 65 komi is really hard to make up for, think about the size of the territory u would have to have to achieve that.
My overall strategy is to prevent black from making a really big moyo, as that could provoke a L&D kind of game. I want to to make this game as long as possible, as extra stones on the board make the komi weight harder, and yet the game has to be territorial and safe. you will see me play as thick as possible.
a valiant effort dex, it was an interesting game to watch. i was pretty sure of the result.
to be honest, I'm surprised kim let that ko threat go on as long as it did. all he needed to do was defend, and you would still have no eyes (i think, i am 7k so i'm a much worse judge than you are of course.)
As mentioned in the review, the great problem was L3. I should defend in the center and the game is over. IT was a combination of factors that made me appraise the position wrongly.
-I knew i was winning by a lot.
-I thought L3 was really widening the gap.
-I thought that the ko in top left was super easy to fight for me
-I thought the top right group would leave easily and almost ko-threat free.
Instead of L3 i should either connecct the groups or play C14, securing the left one in sente or having a 15 point in gote follow up.
