2012 Bay Area High School Go TournamentCome out and compete in a half-day contest between high school clubs and all all K-12 players in the Bay Area! Get to know other enthusiastic players.

Timing
4 rounds: 35 min basic time per player, five periods of 20 seconds overtime
Team and Divisions
Each team contains of three people.
All K-12 participants welcome!
Players must still be in secondary school, either in elementary school, middle school, or high school.
Individual team members can register in a higher division if they so wish all will be given the proper handicap.
If a school has a shortage of players, players from different schools may register together as a team.
A school can send as many teams as they want per division.
Three divisions:
Novice (15kyu to 30 kyu); C division
Intermediate (1kyu to 14kyu), B division
Advanced (1dan to 7 dan), A division
*In the event of a lack of Dan teams, the Dan players will play in the intermediate divisions, with handicaps given to the single digit kyu players.
Counting Style
Japanese counting style with 6.5 komi
Handicap
Handicaps will set as rank difference divided by 2.
Awards
Top 3 teams in each division will receive a prize. Participants will receive a team consolation prize
All teams in the same division will play four games; the winningest team is the victor.
