I started playing on IGS because I got frustrated trying to install KGS on my Macbook. The interface is really annoying to get accustomed to. The time threw me off. I couldn't tell how much I had so I lost because of that. Anyway, if you're up for it, I'd greatly appreciate your thoughts on the notes I made. Also I'd welcome anyone to point out any other mistakes that I overlooked and lastly, if the game had continued, was I on track to win? I played as black.
Thank you!
I lost by time

W ignored your
(F4), so you hane G3 -- take advantage locally first.
If
is not sente (no bite), then why play it.
This is not to say whether
is good or bad (that's another
issue entirely), just that you missed the natural follow-up G3.
-
(G4): locally, not good: if W H4 tiger's mouth, do you see W makes good shape
while you hit yourself on the head? Better not to do this exchange.
-
too early (endgame move).
-
too small. For example, R17 much bigger. I would consider G8,
capping the W group.
-
locally, good, this is the local shared vital point.
-
bad: standard bad habit; you just reduced your own libs.
-
very small and slow, almost a pass. (R17 still much bigger.)
-
now you get an idea why the double knight is actually not an efficient shape: 3-3 is still open.
-
seems soft; S4 instead is a first feeling to kill.
As your homework, study the life-and-death if
at S4.

Thank you for the insight

Actually 3-3 there can be killed but its hard and bad aji.EdLee wrote: - now you get an idea why the double knight is actually not an efficient shape: 3-3 is still open.
@chef your diagram is for r4, Ed suggested s4. Also in your variation white has a better move 9. After move 7 white had made a tripod group which is alive.
