It is a good exercise to look for the last losing play. :)

Go to move 217. :)

Hi Fllecha,

:b25: W ignored your :b23: -- why don't you continue? o7 -- attack!

:w46: W gets this first, because you never thought about attacking him.

:b49: Too early, this is yose, and you lost sente for no reason.

:b51: Basic shape problem/confused/bad habit/misunderstanding.
The local shape is connect directly.
Why do you want to give W the free atari ?
Globally, this is yose; gote; you should tenuki.

$$ . . . X . X . . . |
$$ . . . . . . . . . |

Then, W plays the 1st-line hane :w3: -- Black to play:

Would you play the empty triangle :b4: ?

:b7: should be played at O4. This is classic fuseki in the Chinese Opening. Having someone approach your 3-4 stones is one of the scenarios the Chinese Opening is built around. You want to apply pressure against that approaching stone and use it to develop your position. O4 is a shared vital point for Black and White, and Black has the advantage of playing there first. Doing so is Sente. White must respond or his approach stone will be severely damaged in the next move. By playing at O4 you allowed white to respond at O5, limiting your development potential and giving him good access to the outside. On your 4th move you deviated severely away from the strategic aim of your first 3 moves.

Although most lessons to learn have been pointed out, I've answered your questions in below review, since you asked for it.

Edit: the endgame situation at the top was not well edited. So I need to read again if White needs to defend. At least it has bad aji.
