And a huge selection of other bowls too, many of them on a pretty deep discount due to being off-spec.

Nice! But if these bowls are to be used as pair go bowls, would you have to buy two sets (for all four players)? It isn't clear.

1 stacking bowl = (top+down+lid).

Likely, they are sold just like a regular bowl set:
2 stacking bowls, for 1 game of pair go, where each team of 2 players shares 1 stacking bowl.

Probably if they had pictured a set of 2 stacking bowls in the same photo,
like they do for regular bowl sets of 2, it'd be more clear.

Maybe they also didn't see a high demand for rengo with shell stones thicker than size 34. :)

Good to double check with Mr. Kuroki first.

I e-mailed Mr. Kuroki, and one set allows two people to play. You need to buy two sets for four people. So I guess what you see is what you get.

Too bad - while I am sure the craftsmanship is great, most people don't play pair go enough to justify the purchase. (or would we play more if only we had such nice bowls?)

Would like to see him make some in a less expensive wood.
