At move 101, Sina.com's Weibo account posted the game position and commented that maybe Ke Jie needed to kill the invading group or white might not have enough territory. And the no 1 comment under the post was Ke Jie's own, which read "white by 20 on the board" and then hundreds of fans comments followedkimidori wrote:W potential on the top is scary.?

Was he commenting live? If so, how? Ke Jie doesn't need to cheat, but giving him Internet access during the game would still be weird.wolfking wrote:At move 101, Sina.com's Weibo account posted the game position and commented that maybe Ke Jie needed to kill the invading group or white might not have enough territory. I think he was commenting during lunch break. Players are discouraged from discussing games they are playing but I do not think there is a rule disallowing internet or cellphone usage during lunch break in the A-League.hyperpape wrote: Was he commenting live? tieba.baidu.com says he is 3-1 against pros with 2-stone handicap. He won against Chen Xi 3p, Lin Yancheng 1p and Xu Feiran 2p before losing to Ohashi Hirofumi 6p.event_horizon wrote:Ke is playing 2-stone handicap games with pros on FoxGo server.

I've a mixed feeling on using internet during lunch break (regardless of the content he posted). But this might be the last year they're allowed to do so due to AI outbreaks, so enjoy it while it lasted...

Re: The Reign of Ke Jie
Ke Jie's winning streak ends with a loss to Shi Yue in game 23, who made a too big centre. I wonder if it was related to playing those handicap games, maybe they made him complacent.

Re: The Reign of Ke Jie
That tenuki did surprise me (I was thinking he might play hanging connection in the centre). I suppose he didn't want white to hane there to squeeze in sente and if white is kind enough to answer then it's a double sente, but it does seem rather obvious that the centre is bigger. Maybe he counted he lost that way so bet the game on Shi answering his move. Or does that hanging connection move die anyway if he wants to answer the hane on left side? Once he cuts and starts the semeai he loses by 1 liberty it seems he is sacrificing his centre group, or was that a blunder?event_horizon wrote: B125 seems the losing move?
Actually is black so far behind he needs to resign? I just played out a quick yose (error to pro play maybe +/- 5 points) and it still seems close enough to not give up, especially if a big win streak is on the line.
Edit: a not so quick yose and maybe white is 4 points or so ahead which is a lot for pros.
