This game is from the Korean Veterans League, now in its third year. One characteristic of it is that quite a few games are played out despite huge winning margins (even as high as 44.5 points this month, from memory).
It seems the old pros are not entirely comfortable at short time limits and maybe the thing that goes first is counting during the game.
The error in the game above is of a different kind, of course (set in old ways still not used to dame filling?).
Chang also featured in the longest Korean game (384 moves, not filling dame), and so now has two special entries on his file - but he won the longest game!

'Tis the scariest time of game.
On Go proverbs:
"A fine Gotation is a diamond in the hand of a dan of wit and a pebble in the hand of a kyu" —Joseph Raux misquoted.

I tell DDKs to fill the dame, but this is ridiculous!

And he can't even say it was a mis-click

I like the way both pros handled calmly and taking one stone instead of total removal, which would feel like rubbing it in.

I didn’t understand what was going on with that part. I can see your point that not picking up the stones might be an attempt at face-saving, but is choosing to leave stones on the board allowed by most rule sets? I thought one had to remove dead stones.

Leaving the stones or not has nothing to do with any written rule. He is just using a polite non verbal way to ask black if he wishes to resign.

This game is from the Korean Veterans League, now in its third year.
The official name of this tournament used by the event organiser is 'Korea Senior Baduk League'. 'Veterans' is a good translation but not used officially. I just updated my database.
stones, so even normally it would take two hands or two grabs; he only took 3 and paused.
