Berlin Baduk Cup

Post by ishi »

The Korean Cultural Centre (Berlin/Germany) and the Berlin Go Association invite you to the 2026 Berlin Baduk Cup on 6th and 7th of June!
Two tournaments will be played:
A qualifying tournament (with restricted entry), the winner of which will qualify for the Korean Prime Minister Cup (representing Germany), and an open tournament for everyone.
(The KPMC is expected to take place in Incheon in October/November.)
Both tournaments will be played over four rounds with KPMC time controls: 40 minutes of basic time plus a 20-second increment per move (Fischer timing), and both tournaments offer numerous attractive prizes, including cash prizes for the top three in each.
The Berlin Baduk Cup thus follows in the tradition of our Baduk Ambassador Cups; this year, it is simply taking place without the embassy’s involvement.
Seong-jin Kim (8 dan) will also be on site again as an instructor – for game commentary and more.
Further details of the supporting program will be available soon.

Announcement and registration on the tournament’s website (in German):
