Re: L19 Hahn Tournament - Registration
CSamurai (4-5k, KGS, depending on the week, and my losing streak/frustration level.)
KGS
Overtime - Comfortable with either.
Don't care which of the scoring sets we use, as long as I only have to report the result, and someone else does the calculation.
Second round for all, yes please.
Title match - best of 3 from top players

Re: L19 Hahn Tournament - Registration
I'll bite.
KGS
Herman scoring
I can lose on time under any timing system so no preference there.
However, I am not a 6d on KGS. Some years ago I was mainly a 3d (we Jp's are notoriously over ranked
), so 3 or 4d should do.

Ok, I'll add as a 3d - It will make a difference because of the handicapping system
Ok, we need 10 more players (or 8 if SiNK and Stable confirm)

Re: L19 Hahn Tournament - Registration
I'd like to join! I can definitely play.
I am 11k on KGS. Also, I'm more familiar with Japanese rules, but any set is fine with me.
And I suppose I'm inclined to say Second Stage for all players.

Re: L19 Hahn Tournament - Registration
Let's try 18 people for the first one, as new-player interest is not there so much now.
I'll seed six tiers of three people, of which each group will have one player from each tier (so 3 groups of 6)/.
Top 2 places go into the 1st-6th group in the second round, next two into 7th-12th, next two into 13th-18th.
Everyone plays each opponent in their group once, at Handicap - 2. Once we have our last entrant, I'll post a new thread with the full rules and the draw, including handicap for each matchup. I'll take the options from the voting that received majority support - Any other questions? (And, who wants to be the lucky last entrant?)

I am in as number 18. But I won't play before 5th of may. I prefer simplified counting but happy otherwise.

I'm expecting 2 months, with 1 month for each stage
Do you still want in? We can always extend things in principle, my goal now is for the first month in May, and the second in June.
If we have 19, then we just need 5 more.

I'm sorry, Karaklis, you were first. So I withdraw if they stick to 18.

Re: L19 Hahn Tournament - Registration
No problem, just run it with 18. I was considering to enter when it was at 17 and no one wanted to complete it to 18. I can help out if someone drops out.
Just in case: I haven't played online for quite some time now. My last stable rank on KGS was 7k (last July)
As for the modalities I accept any.

It's good to have an alternate or two.
That which can be destroyed by the truth should be.

Ko is the best solution.
